Background
I matriculated in 2016 at Afrikaans Hoër Meisieskool in Pretoria, South Africa. I realised that I want to pursue a career in design when I received 99% for an installation I did for my practical Fine Art, record exam in 2015. My friends describe me as an approachable individual with an energy that is exciting enough to turn any frown upside down while my mother describes me as a bold and creative mind that often wanders too far out the box.

I enrolled at the University of Pretoria for the Bachelor Degree of Information Design in 2017 where I continued to study until I discovered Inscape Education Group in 2018 and re-enrolled for the Bachelor Degree of Graphic Design at their Pretoria Campus. During my time at Tuks, my new-found passion for visual communication and business management encouraged me to establish my own brand identity called "Jane-ish Designs".

Even though I didn't fully understand the concept, I was determined to be a graphic designer ever since I was eight years old. However, it was only when my journey as a Graphic Design student at Inscape Education Group started in 2019, that I truly fell in love with Design. I poured my heart out into my work and immersed myself in the colourful history and extensive philosophical theories of the industry. I graduated in 2021 with additional certificates for completing a variety of software and photography short courses that I attended in my spare time.

When I am not in front of my computer with a dog on my lap, I am either behind my camera or stirring up some crafty idea or creative challenge that pulls on my "art strings". I journal pretty much every significant lesson I learn in some form or another to gather content for the book I aspire to write one day and I often find myself daydreaming about historical philosophers and the culturally rich environments that influenced the psychology behind their iconic notions.
